Klipsch has unveiled the next generation of its acclaimed Reference Premiere loudspeakers. Announced on 7 August 2026 at Audio Advice Live in Raleigh, North Carolina, the new Reference Premiere III Series celebrates Klipsch’s 80-year heritage while introducing a refined acoustic platform for modern music and home theatre.
The nine-model range is scheduled for global availability from October 2026. Australian pricing, local stock and delivery timing have not yet been confirmed.

A focused nine-model lineup

The lineup includes:
- RP-8263FA – Dolby Atmos-enabled floorstanding speaker with integrated upfiring drivers
- RP-8203F – high-output floorstanding speaker
- RP-6203F – more compact floorstanding speaker
- RP-6103M – bookshelf monitor
- RP-5103M – compact bookshelf monitor
- RP-5203C – centre channel speaker
- RP-5403C – larger centre channel speaker
- RP-5203S – surround speaker
- RP-5103SA – Dolby Atmos-enabled surround and elevation speaker

The RP-1600CSW, in particular, is designed to produce substantial depth and output from a relatively compact enclosure. All three models include a gain control that goes to 11.

The RP-500PM brings Reference Premiere into a simpler system
Alongside the passive speakers and compact subwoofers, Klipsch has introduced the RP-500PM Powered Monitor.
This is the first powered Reference Premiere speaker. It is designed for listeners who want high-performance sound without a separate integrated amplifier or A/V receiver.

This feature automatically applies crossover settings suited to selected Klipsch models. A crossover determines which frequencies are sent to the main speakers and which are directed to the subwoofer.
Think of it as an intelligent starting point. Instead of treating setup like a maze of numbers, the receiver establishes a sensible foundation for the speakers and subwoofer to work together.
